Commercial Photography and Video: Launch of new electric haul trucks
SMS Equipment contracted me to head out to Tumbler Ridge, BC to capture some commercial photographs and video of their New Komatsu 830E-5 electric truck fleet at the Conuma Coal Mine. The day included a commissioning event for new unit with all of the Conuma mine staff and some shots of the new unit out in the mine itself. We also got to document the assembly of the remaining electric fleet overlooking the valley.

Conuma Coal Resources Limited (Conuma) is pleased to announce the replacement of a fleet of haul trucks at its Wolverine Mine with five new Komatsu electric 830E-5 models supplied by SMS Equipment Inc. Conuma is a Canadian metallurgical coal producer with more than 950 employees and three surface mining operations near Tumbler Ridge and Chetwynd in northeastern British Columbia, Canada.
The project included photography, drone stills and drone video, some video b-roll, and a few video interviews of the project team. It was a bit much for one person to cover, so I was happy to have subcontracted Matt Levins of Redbeard Video to help me cover all of this material. Matty is a good friend and a very handy guy to have around. He captured a few behind the scenes shots from our filming as I was busy interviewing.
