Together We Can Push Back the Dark

Grande Prairie’s Suicide Prevention Resource Centre has launched its annual Shine Your Light campaign and Laura and I couldn’t be prouder to have been a part of this video project.

Thank you to everyone to everyone who helped us produce this video, especially our good friend and collaborator Gordie Haakstad for directing and editing, Mark Brazier and Chris McIntyre for their work on arranging and recording the music, and all of our singers, crew and volunteers.

The song features an original arrangement of “This Little Light of Mine,” brought to life by several local talented singers and artists, including Ashley Brown, Peace Country Idol winner Olivia Francis-Akolo, TJ Ruckus Band‘s Brad Lynch, Someh Niengor, Scott Maitland, and many others. Mark Brazier oversaw the arrangement and recording in collaboration with audio engineer Chris McIntyre. recording took place on location and at Chris’ CDM Audio Studios.

The shoot took place at GPRC’s Douglas J. Cardinal Theatre. Big thanks to Gladys Blackmore with the SPRC for reaching out to us and helping us produce this.

Thanks for watching, and more importantly please take the FIVE MINUTES to click through and DONATE to the centre. Every bit helps with their important work. Suicide is something that has affected our family and many others, but it is something we can reduce and prevent–together. It’s easy to share the video, but it’s just as easy to donate.

Also, all donations over $20 will also get an mp3 download of the song!

Thanks everyone!

Chris & Laura
