We met Sharla and Logan at the 2013 Ultimate Wedding Show in Grande Prairie. They came up to us and said, “Okay, now show us photos of real people.”
“Real people?” I replied. “Yes,” said Logan, “like us, ones that aren’t all perfect and skinny.”
“They are all real people. We can make everyone look their best,” I chuckled and browsed through some wedding prints with Sharla and Logan.
I may be paraphrasing that exchange slightly seeing as it was one year ago, but it’s not very far from the truth. Chris and I immediately liked Sharla and Logan’s sense of humour and we were thrilled that these very real, down-to-earth individuals chose us to photograph their wedding on the Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation Reserve in Alberta, near ValleyView.
