Leaving BMO as a financial planner to move from Grande Prairie to Calgary, Julia thought it valuable to get new headshots and professional portraits to update her LinkedIn and other social media and business oriented photos.

I met her at the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie, bring a lot of our lighting equipment to capture white backdrop headshots and portraits of her. I just used the white walls of the gallery. The incredible tall ceiling of the gallery allowed me to use our 7ft diameter umbrella, among other light modifiers, to capture a wonderful soft look for some of Julia’s portraits. We tried various lighting setups to get different feels to the photos. To conclude the session we strolled around the current gallery and utilized the wonderful exhibit of Lyndal Osborne. We also took a few images just outside the gallery, using natural light.
